our background

Globe operates as a main contractor, but began trading in 1994 as a Construction Management company, working largely on Sainsbury’s retail stores and for the Highways Agency.

Since 2001 the company has been owned and operated by its three directors Kevin Hargreaves, David Billington and Ian Threadgold.

For many years David and Ian held senior management roles within large national contractors, with Kevin managing design teams for leading architectural practices. Bringing this knowledge and experience to Globe, the business refocused to offer traditional contracting.

From the outset the company’s main objective was to build long term relationships with clients and their teams. This has resulted in over half Globes work coming from repeat business.
